Welcome to Fruit Finder. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms.

1. The service

Fruit Finder is a community map of fruit-foraging spots. Spots, reviews, and photos are posted by users, not by us. We do not verify that any spot exists, is accurately located, or is safe to visit.

2. Forage responsibly — private property and the law

• Only post spots the public can legally access — public land, community orchards, or places where you have the owner's permission. Never post a spot on private property without the owner's clear consent.
• Respect private property. Do not trespass, climb fences, or pick fruit that isn't clearly offered to the public. When in doubt, ask.
• Follow local laws and regulations regarding foraging, park hours, and protected areas. Rules vary by city, county, and park.
• Forage safely. You are responsible for identifying fruit correctly and judging whether it is safe to eat. We are not liable for misidentification, illness, injury, or trespass claims arising from spots on the map.

3. Your content

• You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you grant us a worldwide license to display it in the app.
• Don't post spam, advertising, illegal content, or other people's private information.
• We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms or harm the community, with or without notice.

4. Community conduct

Be kind. Don't harass other users. Use the report button on spots that are spam, misplaced, or inappropriate, and use the block button on user profiles to hide someone whose content you don't want to see.

5. Accounts

You are responsible for activity under your account. You may delete your account at any time from Profile > Delete Account; deletion removes your profile, spots, reviews, and badges permanently.

6. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app, the accuracy of user-posted spots, or your foraging activities.

7. Changes

We may update these terms as the app evolves. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the new terms.
